Hotel Howlita Tulum

I cannot sing this hotels praises enough!! Super comfy beds & pillows. Beautiful pool and outdoor area. The breakfasts are great too. Christian and his family are absolutely wonderful and are some of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. They make you feel at home right away and treat guest like family, going above and beyond. During my time here I got sick and I can honestly say I do not know what I would have done without this family's love and care. I am so grateful that life lead me here. Thank you thank you thank you. Think of you all daily with so much love.

Reasonably priced, clean, staff is very friendly, and inside the hotel is beautiful! Outside of the hotel and area around it will take some time to get use to because it can look sketchy,but it isn't! Tulum is a safe place, at least that's how I felt when staying here and seeing the area around it. Joshua who greeted us when we arrived was very nice and informative. You can rent bikes here as well! Pool area was very relaxing and nice to swim in (since I wouldn't recommend swimming in the beach because it's red right now, because of the seaweed). The room had an AC and fan, so it was cold! Lastly, it had a mini fridge. I couldn't ask for more. I still have 2 more days left.

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. Large, clean, simple rooms, perfect for the climate. Hosts were super-welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable. Located slightly off the beaten track so handy to walk to main part of town yet quietly residential. Excellent breakfast of fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, eggs, toast etc. Cannot think of a single negative!!!

This place is so beautiful! A nice little Hotel off the main places but really clean and with a lot of nice Details that make the stay very special. You get free water at the pool and you have access to a French press to make your own coffee! The people are extremely friendly and helpful concerning every question you have. No matter if you need something for the room, if you are looking for some nice restaurants or if you want to do some outdoor activities, they will help you to find what you are looking for!!! This is a great little family-run hotel. Cristian, the hotel owner, is super friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was modern and well appointed with a great shower! Sadly we did not get to enjoy the pool with attached bar.

We loved our stay at howlita. The owner was soo helpful, gave us a lot of recommendations and replied so fast to all our messages. Even posting my postcards for me! The location is good, about a 20 minute walk to the centre. They are redoing their sign at the moment but they sent a photo of the entrance so it easily findable. The rooms were clean and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was good too. Thanks for a great stay!

I wasnt sure what to expect. But the welcoming of the owner made me feel home. So thankful because I stayed here. It feels like I stay at my cousin’s place in Tulum. It feels like a friend’s home that they let me stay at their place. So friendly and helpful. Doesnt feel like a hotel. He solves any problem you have. Always answers very quickly. He knows the best local spots and great advice thank you Chris

Wonderful, warm hostess with great hospitality. Fresh breakfast that always consisted of scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, coffee, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruits. Bare rooms, but clean and good water pressure. Hotel was I'm a good location - 5 min drive to popular restaurants and main street.
